Franklin County Sobriety/Safety Checkpoints

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting roadside sobriety/safety checkpoints from March 13th through March 14th, 2020, between the hours of 10:00pm and 2:00am. Checkpoints will be conducted on State Route 41-A near the Franklin County/Grundy County Line.
Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures 305,000 more every year in the United States. Law Enforcement will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol and drug impairment. Law Enforcement will target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take action for other violations observed to insure the protection of all motorist.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
