The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Charles Dewayne “Swain” Layne (46) of Palmer has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the November 3rd death of Rodney Sanders (44) of Gruetli-Laager. Layne turned himself in without incident. His preliminary court date is December 10th.
