AJ Fox Named New Manchester Recreation Director, takes over July 1

Longtime Manchester Parks and Recreation Department employee AJ Fox has been named the new director.

The Board of Mayor and Alderman voted this week to move Fox from his current role as assistant director to the director’s chair beginning July 1, 2021.

Fox will follow current Director Bonnie Gamble who is retiring June 30.  

Fox told On Target News that he was honored and excited. He added, he looked forward to working with his team, because it is a team effort.

He has a degree Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in recreational leadership services, associate degree in business administration and is certified as a parks and rec professional, facility operator, a Tennessee tourism professional, numerous first aid certifications.

Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
