Active Cases of COVID-19 Continue to Go Up; Coffee County Nears 300

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed additional cases and deaths related to COVID-19 across the state on Friday, August 7. The health department reported 2,432 new cases, bringing the state to 118,782 total cases.

TDH also confirmed 20 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 1,206 total deaths.

Out of the confirmed positive cases, 79,357 have recovered, an increase of 1,799 recoveries.

Tennessee currently has 38,219 active cases.

*Bedford County: 11 died; 908 confirmed/probable cases; 658 recovered; 239 active cases

*Cannon County: 0 died; 142 confirmed/probable cases; 86 recovered; 56 active cases

*Coffee County: 3 died: 507 confirmed/probable cases; 219 recovered; 285 active cases

*Franklin County: 4 died; 313 confirmed/probable; 178 recovered; 131 active cases.

*Grundy County: 2 died; 111 confirmed/probable; 76 recovered; 33 active cases

*Lincoln County: 1 died; 276 confirmed/probable; 154 recovered; 121 active cases.

*Moore County: 0 died; 60 confirmed/probable; 33 recovered; 27 active cases

*Rutherford County: 53 died; 6,404 confirmed/probable; 3,706 recovered; 2,645 active cases.

*Warren County: 4 died; 498 confirmed/probable; 248 recovered; 246 active cases
