Last Wednesday (February 9, 2022) officers with the Winchester Police Department were dispatched to Bennett’s Pharmacy, located at 1201 Dinah Shore Boulevard in Winchester, about a male there attempting to obtain a controlled substance through a fraudulent prescription.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male, later identified as Bryce Marshall from Ozone Park, New York. Marshall fled from officers on foot but was apprehended nearby.
Through continued investigation, the Decherd Police Department was able to stop a vehicle with two occupants, Vahsawn Evans of Ootlewah, Tennessee and Jumonte Brown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, that were possibly involved. Marshall, Evans, and Brown were all charged in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
