Bomb Threat in Lynchburg on Monday Afternoon

Metro Moore County Sheriff’s Department shut down Elm Street near downtown Lynchburg on Monday afternoon after a bomb threat. All homes on Elm Street and businesses in the area had to be evacuated while law enforcement investigated.

The bomb squad was from Nashville was also brought in to investigate the issue and no bomb was found.

An all clear was given later in the afternoon so everyone was able to return to normal activities.
