The number of school-aged children in Tennessee who have tested positive for COVID-19 the last 14 days has grown to 20,494 as of Monday according to the Tennessee Department of Education (TDE).
The total now represents a 324% increase in the last 20 days compared to 4,831 on August 4.
Currently Coffee County has 696 active cases among children and adults. Bedford County reports 385. 460 active cases of Covid-19 can be found in Franklin County. Lincoln County is up to 435. Moore County is up to 83 cases and Grundy reports 107 active cases of Covid-19.
Active cases have risen above 67,000 in the state and more than 2,800 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19.
