The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed 2,289 additional cases of COVID-19 across the state on Thursday, October 15, bringing the state to 222,827 total cases.
TDH also confirmed 36 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 2,864 total deaths.
Residents of Manchester and Coffee County woke to the news Monday morning that Mayor Lonnie Norman had lost his battle with the virus. County residents are also seeing active case numbers continue to rise. On Thursday afternoon the state reported 284 active cases.
The current number of hospitalizations in the state now sits 1,149.
