Several Grundy County fire crews were called to Coalmont Thursday afternoon to put out a blaze at a Tennessee Department of Transportation regional office.
TDOT employees inside the building when it caught fire said they smelled smoke and heard a popping noise before the electricity went out. The two employees were able to safely evacuate the building. No injuries were reported.
