Former Bedford County Jailer Arrested Again

A former jailer fired from Bedford County Corrections Center in late January for allegedly assaulting an inmate was arrested early Sunday after Shelbyville police said he drove through several yards in the Fairlane subdivision near his home, leaving a trail of damage.
The Shelbyville Times-Gazette reports that Dayton Stone Taylor, 23, of Fairlane Drive left deep tire tracks in several yards and struck a utility pole on Dow Drive, Shelbyville police were told. Pieces of his vehicle’s front end, including a front wheel, were torn loose and found in yards as he was able to drive away. Officers tracked the vehicle by following tire tracks and gouges in the pavement.
Taylor was charged with first offense DUI, vandalism and leaving the scene of an accident. He posted a $3,500 bond.
