Former Treasurer of Tullahoma Soccer Booster Club gets Three-year Judicial Diversion after Money is Discovered Missing

Kristy Lea Cates who is now the former treasurer of the Tullahoma High School Lady Wildcats soccer booster club was accused of taking money from the athletic program. Cates recently agreed to enter a guilty plea to a Class C felony.

Cates was accused of stealing up to $13,000 over just a few months.

Coffee County Judge William Lockhart granted Cates with a three-year judicial diversion. She could have been sentenced of between three and six years in prison.

If Cates meets the diversion requirements and after the three years is complete, she may ask that her record be expunged.
