Injured Juvenile leads to 10 people being Arrested in Grundy County

Earlier this week Grundy County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Gum Street in Tracy City for a juvenile that had allegedly been assaulted. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 14-year unresponsive male juvenile. Deputies immediately called EMS. The juvenile was transported to the hospital in Sewanee.

The investigation led deputies to a residence at Oak Leaf Drive. Upon arrival, deputies were given consent to search after locating drugs in plain sight. Once inside, deputies located several types of drugs including cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, and nitrous oxide used as a recreational inhalant. Seven people were arrested from that location.

From there, the investigation led them to a residence on Waters Edge Way where more of the same drugs were found in addition to ecstasy. Three people were arrested from that location. The suspects are from Georgia and Florida and were in area for a concert.

Investigators are working to determine who is responsible for assaulting the juvenile.
