Latest COVID-19 Report includes 2 Deaths in Coffee County

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed additional cases and deaths related to COVID-19 across the state on Friday, July 31. The health department reported 3,088 new cases, bringing the state to 105,959 total cases, a 3% day-to-day increase since Thursday.

Coffee County had fought a good fight without any deaths, but on Friday two deaths were reported.

For the third time this month Tennessee has added 3,000+ new cases. Friday’s additional cases ranks as the state’s third highest single-day increase. July 13 is the current highest with 3,314 reported cases, followed by July 26 which added 3,140 new cases.

Tennessee’s seven-day new cases average increased from 2,269 to 2,412 additional cases per day.

TDH also confirmed 27 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 1,060 total deaths.

Out of the confirmed positive cases, 66,357 have recovered. Tennessee currently has 38,542 active cases.

*Bedford County: 10 died; 823 confirmed/probable cases; 613 recovered; 200 active cases

*Coffee County: 2 died: 370 confirmed/probable cases; 170 recovered; 198 active cases

*Franklin County: 4 died; 258 confirmed/probable; 135 recovered; 119 active cases.

*Grundy County: 2 died; 97 confirmed/probable; 67 recovered; 28 active cases

*Lincoln County: 1 died; 234 confirmed/probable; 117 recovered; 116 active cases.

*Moore County: 0 died; 42 confirmed/probable; 29 recovered; 13 active cases

*Rutherford County: 51 died; 5,899 confirmed/probable; 3,116 recovered; 2,732 active cases.

*Warren County: 4 died; 375 confirmed/probable; 185 recovered; 186 active cases
