Austen Rogers earned the win for Blue Jays., allowing five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three.Tylar Prosser took the loss for Royals. He surrendered six runs on five hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two.Clark Carden went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Royals in hits.The Blue Jays tallied nine hits on the day. Brandon Haston and Jonathan Ray all managed multiple hits for the Blue Jays.
In the 7:00 p.m. contest at Waggoner Park, the Reds got by the Rockies on 10 hits and no errors. The game was tied at three with the Reds batting in the bottom of the seventh when Travis Tikell singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Matthew Wright led the Reds to victory on the mound. He allowed seven hits and three runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
In the nightcap, the Cubs shutout Jacobs on 13 hits and no errors at Grider Stadium. Tyler McBay got the win for Cubs. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Cam Price threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
