Man Charged with 1st Degree Murder in Bedford County Agrees to 2nd-Degree Conviction

In a story On Target News reported in October of 2020, a man being held on a murder charge at the Bedford County Jail decided recently to accept a plea deal to shorten his prison sentence.

Juan Antonio Lopez Juarez agreed to 27 years with no parole for the murder of Juan Gutierrez at a mobile home on Lower Halls Mill Road on Oct. 11, 2020.  

Juarez accepted the deal after first being charged with 1st-degree murder but agreed to a 2nd-degree murder conviction.
