Manchester Fire-Rescue Responds to Truck Fire

Tuesday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m., Manchester Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Woodland Court.

Upon arrival, crews found a Dodge Ram pickup that had the front end of the truck fully ingulfed in fire. Crews deployed an attack line and began firefighting operations. Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire and gain entry to the engine compartment for final extinguishment. 

Once the fire was extinguished crews investigated the incident.

There were no injuries during this incident.  Fire Chief George Chambers thanked the Coffee County Communications Center and Manchester Police for their excellent assistance.
