Manchester Recreation Center Announces Reopening

After being closed Thursday-Sunday, the Manchester Recreation Center is open (Monday). The facility received significant damage from last Wednesday’s severe storms.

Director of Parks and Recreation A.J. Fox says the upstairs fitness center will continue to be closed until further notice because of water damage from the heavy rain that fell.

The center was damaged when fierce winds struck the building around 8 p.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service reported the wind reached as high as 60 miles per hour in Coffee County.
