Manchester VFW Earns All-American Status Again

Since the Veterans of Foreign Wars was established in Tennessee in 1930, no Tennessee Post that has earned the coveted All-American Post designation for three years in a row… until now. Manchester’s Stone Fort Memorial, VFW Post 10904, established in 1990, has now been awarded the All-State Post Award for the fourth consecutive year as well as the VFW National All-American Post Award for the third consecutive year.

The VFW All-American Post Award goes to top-performing VFW Posts globally to recognize those Posts achieving the highest standards. These include providing support for veterans, their families and the communities they serve. They are considered the very “best of the best”. There are approximately 6,200 VFW Posts worldwide, and 91 Posts in Tennessee.

The public is invited to help celebrate this hallmark achievement on August 21 from 11 am to 4 pm.  An “All-American Celebration” will be held at the Coffee County Veterans Building, 130 Shelton Road in Manchester. This will be an open house event with food, fun, music and more. Details to follow.

VFW 10904 Post Commander, retired Navy Chief Kimberly King, noted: “I could not be more proud of our Post. I think we’re the very best Post in the State of Tennessee because we have the very best people and the best support any Post Commander could ever wish to have. So many companies, schools and organizations have stepped in to help us with a wide variety of projects, programs and events. We just cannot thank them enough for their support for our veterans and to our community. They are also responsible for our achieving the coveted All-American Post Award for the past 3 years and the All-State Post Award for the past 4 years.”
