Moore County issues plans for dealing with Coronavirus and Helping Those in Need

IMPORTANT UPDATE on Metro Moore County’s Government offices and Services
1. All EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE
2. METRO MOORE HEALTH FACILITY – 931-759-4251 – The Tennessee Department of Health has asked to be exempt from all county closures. They will make sure their services are available to the public.
As of now- all offices in the Moore County Courthouse and County Building are open.
Each office has different capabilities to help our citizens online and all are a phone call away if needed. We do ask for visitors to please be courteous of others and use one of the following options if you are sick.

County Court Clerk- Nancy Hatfield – 931-759-7346 – Citizens can buy tags and access services online https://secure.tncountyclerk.com/index.php?countylist=64
Trustee – Lynn Harrison – 931-759-7912 – Taxes can be paid online. (2019 taxes only) www.moore.tennesseetrustee.org You can also pay your taxes by phone at 1-877-768-5048. You will need your account number off of your bill.
Register of Deeds – Pam Wells – 931-759-7913 – All registering and payments are handled in the office. No Payments can be accepted online due to the requirements that have to be met prior to recording. However, all recorded instruments are viewable online: https://www.titlesearcher.com/countyHomepages.php?state=TN
Assessor of Property – Darin Harrison – 931-759-7044 – The public can reach his office by phone for any questions or concerns regarding assessment issues.
Circuit and General Sessions Court Clerk – Linda Wolaver – 931-759-7208
In addition to the official statement the courts have issued about in-person courts being suspended, online payments can be made at www.courtfeepay.com
If a case is scheduled for the month of March, you need to contact your attorney. If you do not an attorney, you need to contact the clerk’s office. The jury trial scheduled to begin March 26 has been cancelled.
Clerk & Master – Tammy Roberts – 931-759-7028 –
In addition to the official statement the courts have issued about in-person courts being suspended, the clerk & master has a drop box outside the door if needed.
Election Commission – Jim Sanders – 931-759-4532 – (County Building) The state Election commission requests this office be exempt of all closures. Qualifying papers for the general election in August are still due by noon, August 2, 2020.
UT Agriculture Extension Offices – Larry Moorehead, Brenda Hannah, Lorie Burtts, 931-759-7163 – Their offices are restricted to inbound, in office activity only at this time.
SCHRA – Carrie Holt – 931-759-7827 – As of now, Commodities will still be distributed Thursday at the Legion at the regular time. Everyone will remain in their vehicles; it will be a drive-thru distribution.
Metro Moore Archives – The office will be closed until March 31.
Metro Moore Codes Enforcer – Christine Pyrdom – 931-759-7068 – Please call ahead with your questions and needs. The door may be closed. She will either be working from home or in the office.
Soil Conversation Office – Penny Stone – 931-759-7342 – Please call ahead.
Convenience Center and Garbage Pick-up – As of right now, there is no change in scheduling
OTHER CLOSURES – CANCELLATIONS –
We don’t have a way to lock either of our parks. Since all school activities are cancelled, all organized sport leagues (competitions and practices) will be cancelled until March 31st.
PLEASE – With all of the precautions that have been made from the Federal, State and local levels ~ We ask that people please use common sense when exposing your family to large gatherings. Especially the elderly and very young.

Metro Moore County Mayor Lewis, EMA Director Deal and Sheriff Hatfield announce a NEW Department to serve Moore County citizens during this historic Corona Virus Pandemic of 2020.
Beginning at 1 pm today, March 17, 2020, we will open an UNMET NEEDS phone line. Please call 931-307-6508 to report any Needs or Requests
The phone line will currently be manned 8 am to 4 pm and may expand hours if need be. You can call if you have a need for yourself or your family or you know of a need for someone else.
Our goal is to make sure our elderly and health compromised citizens, who don’t need to be out shopping at different stores looking for basic supplies, have a way to have their needs met.
Examples of needs:
Specific grocery items
Help with any special medical equipment (Oxygen, powered health care equipment, etc.)
Help getting to the doctor
Help getting to the drugstore to pick up prescriptions
Want to request a wellness check for specific neighbors, family or elderly members of the community.
