More Vehicle Charging Stations coming to Tennessee

Tennessee will have a network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles every 50 miles along the state’s major highways and interstates, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced Wednesday.

The initiative, which is still in its development stage, aims to add approximately 50 new charging locations. The push to power the growth of electric vehicles across Tennessee would double the existing fast charging network in the state. Currently, there are only 24 fast charging locations operating in Tennessee that are open to all drivers and support both charging standards common to electric vehicles.
