Motlow Trained Workforce Relief Fund

Motlow State has created the MotlowTrained Workforce Relief Fund for community members suffering from any loss of income as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The fund was specifically created to offer training through the Department of Workforce Innovation’s MotlowTrained program at no cost to those who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 throughout Motlow’s eleven-county service area. The goal is to provide an opportunity for those who are now facing financial hardship to upskill for advancement into higher-paying positions, re-enter the workforce, or make a career pivot. MotlowTrained provides high-impact workforce training and professional development courses that are delivered completely online. To make a donation, please visit the Motlow College Foundation webpage at www.mscc.edu/give/ and select the option to “Make a Gift.” To ensure that your donation goes towards the Workforce Relief Fund, please be sure to type the word “RELIEF” in the special instructions line. All donations made to the MotlowTrained Workforce Relief Fund will go directly towards delivering the MotlowTrained program to those financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. According to Kathy Parker, Executive Director of Economic, Community and Workforce Development at Motlow State, “Even in isolation we can begin to help one another by providing opportunity and hope for brighter days ahead. Our community will become stronger and more resilient by investing in the knowledge and skills of our workforce during this historic event.” Those interested in registering for the MotlowTrained program should email the Department of Workforce Innovation at workforce@mscc.edu.
