Coffee County Red Raiders weathered a scare by Marshall County in the fourth inning where Coffee County coughed up three runs, but the Red Raiders still won 10-3 on Thursday. Caleb McElhaney, Carson Cheek, and Joseph Beasley all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Coffee County Red Raiders opened up scoring in the first inning. Lane Spry drove in one when Spry doubled.
Wyatt Nugent took the win for Coffee County. Nugent surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Aiden Robertson threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Robertson recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for the Red Raiders.
Logan McKnight took the loss for Marshall County. McKnight allowed 12 hits and ten runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Coffee County launched one home run on the day. Nolan Jernigan had a homer in the second inning.
Coffee County totaled 14 hits. Braden Brown, Carter Mckenzie , Hayden Hullett , Griffin Meeker, and Spry each had multiple hits for Coffee County. Mckenzie and Brown each collected three hits to lead the Red Raiders. Brown led Coffee County with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
