Coffee County Softball Run Rules Collierville in State Tournament

The Coffee County Lady Raiders defeated the Collierville Dragons 11-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kaitlyn Davis induced a double-play from Kinsley Scallions to finish off the game.

Coffee County got things moving in the first inning, when the Lady Raiders plated 4 huge runs.

Coffee County notched five runs in the fourth inning. Kiya Ferrell, Chesnie Cox, Davis, and Keri Munn powered the big inning with RBIs. Munn’s hit was a 2-run homer.

Munn earned the win for the Lady Raiders. The senior surrendered no runs on one hit over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. Davis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Coffee County collected 11 hits. Cox and Ferrell each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Raiders. Ferrell and Cox each managed three hits to lead Coffee County.

The Coffee County Lady Raiders will take on Farragut Wednesday with the first pitch set for 11:30AM. You can hear the Lady Raiders play live on the Rooster 101.5 FM.
