Emory and Tomlin combine for No Hitter, Cats top Spring Hill

It wasn’t your typical no hitter Tuesday night, but Cannon Emory and Evan Tomlin combined to keep the Spring Hill Raiders at bay in Tullahoma’s 4-2 win at Grider Stadium in the opener of the final district series of the season.

The Wildcat pitchers allowed 14 Raider baserunners (9 walks, 3 hit batters and 2 reached on errors) but despite all of that limited Spring Hill to a pair of unearned runs in the top of the first.

Tullahoma rallied with a run in the first and then took the lead with a pair in the second. They added a little insurance with a run in the 4th.

Senior short stop DJ Dillehay led Tullahoma offensively going 3-4 with a pair of lead off doubles, a two RBI triple and two runs scored. Dillehay’s performance earned him Bowman Media Player of The Game Honors.

Sophomore catcher Jayron Morris was 1-1 on the night scoring a run, grabbing a pair of RBI and walking once.

The win improves Tullahoma to 16-11 overall and 3-5 in 8-3A play. They’ll go for the series sweep tonight at 6:30 in Spring Hill.

The next Tullahoma baseball broadcast on 93.9 the Duck is Monday at 5:50 p.m. when the Cats host Nolensville.

Lady Cat softball host Marshall County tonight on Senior Night, you can hear the game om 93.9 The Duck starting at 5:50 p.m.
