High School Sports Report

Coffee County Golf

The Red Raiders hosted the Cavaliers of Cookeville at Willowbrook on Monday. The Cavs took both the boys and girls matches on the day.  Cookeville boys fired a 308 and girls fired 175.  Coffee County boys had a rough day on the links with a 399 and the girls with a 222. Both Red Raider teams will be in action again on Wednesday hosting the Golden Classic Invitational, one of the premier high school golf tournaments in the state.

Volleyball

The Coffee County volleyball team will host Columbia Central on Tuesday evening at the Joe Frank Patch Gym at 6 PM.  The Lady Raiders will look to remain undefeated on the season currently standing at 3-0.

JV/Freshman Football on Monday

Coffee County JV/Freshman Raiders took on Franklin County in a double-header on Monday. The Coffee County JV team notched a win over the Rebels, 15-14.

In the nightcap Franklin County pulled out the win, earning a split in the games.

Middle School Football on Tuesday

The Coffee County Middle School football team will travel to Shelbyville to take on Harris Middle School on Tuesday night. The Red Raiders are led by Cole Pippenger.

Lucky Knott

One of Southern Tennessee's most experienced and recognized news broadcasters and play-by-play sportscasters. Current news director for On Target News and manager of Rooster 101.5 FM. Knott can be heard on 93.9 The Duck, The Rooster 101.5 and Whiskey Country 105.1 and 95.9. He is currently the play by play voice of the Coffee County Red Raiders on The Rooster 101.5. Lucky has done play-by-play for over 3,455 sports events on Radio & TV. He also served 4 years as the Public Information Officer for the Coffee Co. Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for 6 years at Grundy County High School.
