Lady Dawgs get past Lady Vols

On Sunday, the Lady Vols fell short to the Bulldogs of Georgia at the buzzer 57-55 

In the first quarter of play the Lady Vols trailed the Bulldogs 14 to 10. Tennessee hung tough but Georgia stayed strong leading the Lady Vols in the second quarter 13-9. The Lady Vols went into the locker room trailing the Bulldogs 27-19 at the half.

Out of halftime the Lady Vols rallied back by holding the Bulldogs and ending the third quarter tied 20-20. In the fourth quarter of play the Lady Vols came alive with a spectacular performance outscoring the Bulldogs 16-10. The Lady Vols unfortunately fell short at the buzzer with the Bulldogs finishing the contest on top 57-55.

Leading the way for the Lady Vols was Rennia Davis posting 22 points. Rae Burrell notched 10 points on the day.

The Lady Vols will take on the Tigers of Missouri on the road in Columbia Missouri on Thursday.
