Moore County girls team ends their basketball season in the Region 4-A Semifinals

On Monday the Moore County Blue Raiders girls team ended their season in the semifinal round of the Region 4-A Tournament.

The Moore County Lady Blue Raiders unfortunately fell to the Lady Hornets of Huntland 66-36 in the semifinal round of the Region 4-A Tournament. The Lady Blue Radiers fought hard, but the Lady Hornets controlled the lead early to end the first quarter on top 12-6. Moore County kept battling against Huntland but the Lady Blue Raiders still trailed going into the locker room at the half 28-10. Out of halftime the Lady Blue Raiders stayed tough, but the Lady Hornets extended their lead to end the third quarter 48-24. Moore County continued to play aggressive in the fourth quarter but unfortunately fell to Huntland and end their season in the semifinal round of the Region 4-A Tournament. Charlotte Ray and Chloe Brazier posted 10 points each to lead the way for the Lady Blue Raiders. Robin Smedley scored 5 points on the night. Both Erica Clifton and Madison Floyd notched 4 points for Moore County.   

On Friday the Moore County Lady Blue Raiders won against the Lady Panthers of Lead Academy 61-32 in the first round of the Region 4-A Tournament. The Lady Blue Raiders came out strong against the Lady Panthers to end the first quarter on top 18-6. Moore County stayed strong and extended their lead over Lead Academy going into the locker room at the half 30-16. Out of halftime the Lady Blue Raiders kept pace to remain in the lead over the Lady Panthers and end the third quarter 42-26. Moore County continued to dominate the court in the fourth quarter of play to defeat Lead Academy and advance in the first round of the Region 4-A Tournament. Robin Smedley led the way for the Lady Blue Raiders posting 16 points. Chloe Brazier scored 15 points on the night. Maecy Fletcher notched 10 points to help secure the win for Moore County.
