Tullahoma baseball drops matchup versus Community

Tullahoma Wildcats fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-1 loss to Community on Friday. Community scored on a error in the first inning and a double by Will Reep in the second inning. 

The Tullahoma struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Community, giving up eight runs. 

In the first inning, Community got their offense started when an error scored one run for Community. 

Community scored four runs in the second inning. Community scored its runs on a double by Reep. 

Reep got the win for Community. Reep surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. 

DJ Dillehay took the loss for Tullahoma. Dillehay lasted two innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out three. 

Tullahoma racked up five hits in the game. Jacob Dixon and Brody Melton all managed multiple hits for Tullahoma. Melton and Dixon each collected two hits to lead the Wildcats. 

Reep went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Community in hits. Community was sure handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Dillion Norris had the most chances in the field with seven.
