The Tullahoma Lady Cats surged out of the locker room to take control of the game and rally from down six at the break to sweep the season series with Lawrence County with a 53-42 win at home Friday night.
Tullahoma outscored Lawrence County 39-21 over the game’s final 16 minutes to improve to 15-6 overall and 6-2 in District 8-3A. The victory was also Tullahoma’s 7th straight vs Lawrence County who dropped to 11-10 on the season and 4-4 in the district.
Tullahoma was paced in scoring by Morgan Carr, who followed up a 14-point night Tuesday at Marshall County (a 44-31 Tullahoma win) with 17points Friday. Eleanor Fults joined Carr in double figures with 16 and Lilly Melton came off the bench to add in 8.
Katie Chriswell led Lawrence County with 9 points.
In the night cap monster night from Krys Uselton powered Tullahoma 56-46 win and a split in their season series with Lawrence County.
Tullahoma led by 10 first quarter points from Uselton, jumped out to a 17-7 lead after one. Tullahoma held a 9-point edge at the half and after three. Lawrence County trimmed the lead down to two in the middle of the fourth, but a late Tullahoma surge led by Uselton who finished with 28 points on the night helped the Cats close out the victory. Jacob Dixon added 9 points on 3 made threes.
Luke Boswell 14 and Alex Carr 13 led the way for Lawrence County.
With the win Tullahoma improves to 7-14 overall and 4-4 in District 8-3A. Lawrence County drops to 17-8 on the season and 4-4 in the district.
Tullahoma hosts Page on Tuesday night while Lawrence County travels to Marshall County. Both varsity double headers tipoff with the girls game at 6:00 with the boys to follow.

In other action around 8-3A Friday night Marshall County swept Spring Hill with the Tigerettes winning 31-30 for their first district win of the season and the Tigers winning their 2nd straight 69-52. Page continued their dominance of the district as they picked up a road sweep of Lincoln County. The Lady Patriots rolled 58-28 nd the Patriots avenged their lone 8-3A loss of the year with a71-64 victory.
