Tullahoma softball falls to Lawrence County

Tullahoma fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-0 loss to Lawrence County on Tuesday. Lawrence County scored on a single by Madison Tidwell in the first inning. 

The Lady Wildcats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lawrence County, giving up 13 runs. 

Lawrence County got things moving in the first inning. Tidwell drove in one when Tidwell singled. Adeline Land earned the win for Lawrence County. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11. 

Zaylan Spinner took the loss for Tullahoma. The righthander went one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and walking zero. 

Lawrence County hit two home runs on the day. Tidwell went deep in the third inning. Land had a four bagger in the second inning. 

Lawrence County racked up 15 hits in the game. Tidwell, Ella Hillhouse, Land, and Taylor Hine all collected multiple hits for Lawrence County. Tidwell went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Lawrence County in hits. Lawrence County didn’t commit a single error in the field. Abby Smith had the most chances in the field with 11.
