Rape of a Child send Grundy Co. man to Jail for 150 years

Grundy County resident James Allen Worley was sentenced this week to 150 years in prison after being convicted of four counts of rape of a child and one count of attempted rape of a child last year.

Judge Justin Angel sentenced Worley to 150 years to run consecutively. The defendant received a sentence of 35 years for each count of rape of a child and 10 years for attempted rape of a child.

Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum stated, “In almost thirty years of law enforcement this is the most heinous case of child rape I’ve ever seen.” To my knowledge this is the longest sentence ever handed down in Grundy County.”
