Record Number of COVID-19 Cases Reported in Tennessee over the Weekend

On Saturday, the Tennessee Department of Health reported 5,071 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, a record amount for one day.

On Sunday, 3,636 new cases were reported which is the 2nd highest total in one day.

The previous record of 3,606 was set on October 23.

TDH also confirmed 49 additional deaths on Saturday and 5 on Sunday for a total of 3,595 total deaths.

There are 1,490 people currently hospitalized with the virus.
