Shelbyville Man Charged with Kidnapping and More

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 22-year-old Samuel Gomez-Benicio for the kidnapping of a Shelbyville woman Monday morning.

Gomez-Benicio was arrested in Falkville, AL Monday night. He bonded out and was picked up by the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division early Tuesday morning. He is charged with burglary, domestic assault, 2 counts of kidnapping and especially aggravated kidnapping. Gomez-Benicio is being held on $200,000 bond at the Bedford County Jail.
