Smoke Alarm Safety Message from the Tullahoma Fire Department

Tullahoma Fire Department would like to share some tips about Smoke Alarm Safety. One of the slogans they like to share is “Hear the Beep Where You Sleep!”

TFD says to install smoke alarms in every bedroom. You also want to install smoke alarms in the basement and on every level of your home.

Large homes may need extra smoke alarms.

Test all smoke alarms once a month. Replace all smoke alarms after they are 10 years old.

Roughly 3 out of 5 fire deaths happen in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.

If you live in the Tullahoma City Limits, please call Tullahoma Fire Department @ 931-455-0936 and talk with Community Risk Reduction Coordinator, MeLissa Allen about scheduling an appointment to install your FREE smoke alarms in your home.
