TN. Dept. of Health says We Might Need to Cutback on Holiday Visits

Dr. Tim Jones, Chief Medical Officer with the TN. Dept. of Health, said Tuesday, with CoVID-19 cases still rising, it will put a lot of worry into the upcoming holiday season.

With families making plans about getting together during the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, Jones said that everyone should be extra careful and maybe cutback on visits. With the coronavirus still making its presence and the flu season coming up. Jones added that it’s important to get a flu shot this season.

He said there’s no prediction on when a CoVID vaccine will be ready, but said we have the most active and generous testing in the country. Officials are hoping to have a vaccine ready by November.
