Tullahoma Impressive Again in Homecoming Win

After Nolensville had to postpone because of COVID-19, Tullahoma hosted Brainerd High School from Chattanooga for Homecoming.

The Wildcats got it rolling early and often against the Panthers picking up 41-14 win to stay unbeaten at 7-0 on the year.

Tullahoma made 6-0 in the first after Ryan Scott connected with Brody Melton for an 18-yard TD pass. Late in the 1st Justin Chadwick would hit a 38-yard field-goal to put the Wildcats up 10-0 after the first quarter.

In the second Keishawn Cummings rushed 24 yards for next score to give Tullahoma a 17-0 advantage. With only 3 minutes left in the half Brainerd would get a rushing touchdown and added a 2-point conversion to make it 17-8 Wildcats. Less than a minute remained in the 2nd quarter when Tullahoma Kicker Justus Chadwick hit his second field-goal of the night from 37 yards out as the Wildcats led 20-8 at the half.

In the 3rd the Panthers would pick off a Tullahoma pass and race 70 yards to make it 20-14. At that point it turned into a Tullahoma rout. With 2 minutes to go in the 3rd Ryan Scott rushed for a 4-yard TD and Keishawn Cummings ran for a 2-point conversion as the Wildcats upped their lead to 28-14.

In the final quarter QB Ryan Scott would rush 33 yards for another score. 4 minutes remained in the game when Jacob Dixon scored from 1 yard out to give the Cats a 41-14 lead. That score held up for the final.

Tullahoma will take this week off before traveling to Lawrence County on October 16 and as always you can hear the game live on 93.9 The Duck.
