Back in 2015 and 2016 Tullahoma did not win a game, but Coach John Olive, his assistants and the Wildcat players have had an amazing turnaround.
Ranked #2 in Class 4-A, the Tullahoma Wildcats roared to another win on Friday as they wrapped the region championship by beating Nolensville. The Cats are now 9-0 on the season.
Tullahoma got a 28-yard run by Jakobe Thomas with 8:55 left in the first quarter as the Wildcats took a 7-0 lead and never looked back. Thomas’ big night did not end there as he score again. This time it was on a 3-yard run with 2:49 left in the 1st.
Thomas scored for the third time in the first half with a 11:04 remaining hitting the end zone from 31 yards out and after a 2-point conversion it was 22-0 Cats. The score stayed the same at the half.
Nolensville would find pay dirt with 8 minutes left in the third quarter, Wildcats led the Knights 22-7. With 4:34 to go in the 3rd Tullahoma’s Jaxon Sheffield rushes in from 28-yards to make it 29-7 Wildcats.
As the game got deep into the 4th Nolensville would score with 1:20 to make it 29-14 and that would be the final score.
