Over the past couple of months, COVID-19 has changed the world as we all know it. As music fans, we have all experienced the heartbreaking cancelations events we love most, and sit (fingers crossed) in anticipation that some events still scheduled for later this year will find a way to take place.
We are keenly aware that the challenges of COVID-19 are not behind us, and as we have stated before, our focus above all else is the safety of our fans, our staff, and our musicians. With that being the case we are excited to announce that we have partnered with Unity Medical Center of Manchester and have developed a safety program that we will implement at Musictree in September. So that being said, Musictree 2020 is officially a go.
With our new partnership and the guidelines outlined in the Tennessee Pledge, we have put together a comprehensive safety plan that we feel will provide a safe way for us to come together and enjoy live music.
“Unity Medical Center is proud to partner with Musictree Festive and help ensure the health and safety of patrons attending this great community event. We understand that events such as Musictree are essential to a thriving local economy. At the same time, the new normal we are facing requires us all to be aware of our surroundings and the people we are in contact with. We are happy to provide masks and sanitization stations for this event to ensure patrons have fun, while also staying healthy.” Martha McCormick CEO, Unity Medical Center.
The safety plan will be multifaceted and thoroughly enforced:
Each location will have a single check-in point
Patrons will have temperatures checked with a quick non-touch thermometer
Signage outlining the safety policy, event layout, and on-ground requirements will be plentiful around the event to ensure easy access to the information
Multiple Sanitation Stations will be provided at each venue
Safety Staff will be wearing Unity Medical Center branded shirts on location
As we move forward, we will keep everyone updated to any updates with the Tennessee Pledge and how those decisions may or may not affect our event.
