The Coffee County Red Raiders saw their game at #1 ranked Oakland shortened to only half a game due to bad weather in Murfreesboro.
After seeing the Patriots rip down the down the field and score in than a minute into the game to make it 7-0.
The Raiders would get their only points of the night as kicker Ian Weldon connected on a 29-yard field goal with 8:07 to go in the first half. The Crazy Daisies Player of the Game Matthew Pittman set up the drive for the field-goal when he intercepted an Oakland pass at mid-field.
Oakland’s offense would continue to control the game as they scored two more times before the half to make it 22-3.
As the Patriots were celebrating homecoming lightning hit as they were naming the king and queen. It was announced that everyone to leave the grandstands. After a short period of time it was determined that playing the rest of the game would be unsafe and it was agreed that the game would be complete with Oakland winning the game, 22-3.
The Raiders will look to finish with a 5-win season as they host Riverdale this Friday. Coffee County’s 4 wins so far this year is the most wins since 2007 when the Raiders finished 6-5.
