The 26th Highway 41 Toy Convoy and Show will roll Sunday at noon. Lineup begins at 10:00 a.m. Raider Academy in Manchester Exit 111 at I-24. Admission is $10 per vehicle, $20 if you enter the show. Everyone is asked to please fly the American flag and bring at least one new unwrapped toy.
Zayden Bomar is the Grand Marshal and will ride in the fire truck with Santa Claus. He recently lost his hand in the mowing accident. There will be a special collection Zayden going on during the event.
This year they have a new and bigger venue as the town of Wartrace generously donated the show horse grounds and park for the car show, which gives the group about 10 times more space.
Katy Ishee, coordinator of the Toy Convoy says they are expecting Life Flight to be making an appearance.
Toys will be distributed through the Steve Graves/Gene Taylor Christmas Foundation, Manchester Police Department and Wartrace Fire Department.
If you want to view the Convoy, you’ll be able to see it anywhere along Highway 41 to Beech Grove and then Hwy 64 to Wartrace. They ask that people please be patient and let the parade pass and just sit back and enjoy all the great rides in the wonderful people coming to help children in our area.
