Another Threat made against Warren County Middle School

On Friday, the Warren County Sheriff’s office learned of a social media post, making a threat to bring a gun to school on Monday.

Sheriff Jackie Matheny, Jr. assigned investigators and School Resource officers to this case. within an hour, investigators identified and located the 13 year-old Warren County Middle School student that was responsible for making this threat.

After the completion of the investigation, the 13 year-old male student was arrested and charged with making a threat of mass violence at a school. This juvenile is currently being detained in a juvenile detention center and will appear in court this week.

A threat was made against the school on Oct. 20 and two students were charged.

Sheriff Matheny asks that parents please monitor their child’s social media accounts, and he promises that his office will take all threats of violence toward a school seriously.
