Area Fire Task Force Helping in Warren County; Update Fire is now contained

On Tuesday afternoon around 3:15 pm “Task Force 6” deployed from Coffee County to help with the wildfires in Warren County.

Firemen and apparatus’ from Manchester Fire-Rescue, Hillsboro, North Coffee and New Union Volunteer Fire Departments from Coffee County along with personnel and apparatus’ from Lincoln County, Moore County and Winchester Fire departments deployed from Coffee County to support units already on location. 

Crews arrived on scene about 4:15 pm at the staging area on Curtis Town Rd and Hwy 8. Firemen are providing wildfire and structural fire protection for the affected areas.

Around 6:30 pm Warren County authorities announced that the fire had been brought under control.
