Bedford Co. Shooting Suspect Wanted for Questioning in Nashville Murder

We have an update on a story we brought you yesterday. On Sunday night Bedford County Sheriff’s deputies and the TBI arrested 25 year-old Samuel Earl Rich. He is accused of shooting a female victim last Friday. She was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt.

Nashville Metro police said the body of James William Warner, known as “Will,” was found Friday morning by a Metro Water crew on 35th Avenue North.

Detectives believe the 22-year-old was driven to the area and shot to death, then left in the street by his killer.

Metro police issued an alert Saturday afternoon and said was wanted for questioning in Will Warner’s murder.

Warner is the nephew of Tennessee state lawmaker, Todd Warner, who represents Marshall, Franklin, Lincoln and Marion counties.

Samuel Rich is the son of Bedford County Judge Charles Rich.
