According to Shelbyville Police, a man and a woman were seen jumping into the Duck River on Thursday afternoon. The man never came up, while the woman resurfaced a few seconds later and had to be pulled out of the water by people nearby.
As of 5:05 pm, Friday, rescue crews recovered Christopher Lee Richardson, 50, of Shelbyville, after drowning in the river.
