Cats and Lady Cats Drop District Contest Tuesday

The Tullahoma Wildcats were swept in their second straight district series Tuesday night at Grider Stadium as they fell to Page 5-3.

A Pitchers duel early the Patriots put up 5 runs in the middle innings on bloop hits and line drives to go along with a couple of fielding errors from the Wildcats.

Tullahoma struggled most of the night to hit Page Starter Braden Clark who went the distance to pick up the win while holding the Cats to three runs on six hits. Evan Tomlin took the loss for Tullahoma allowing four runs on five hits in four innings of work.

The Wildcats who have lost six of seven and four-straight in 8-3A play dropped to 9-10 on the season and 2-4 in district play. They host Franklin County Thursday on Little League Night. All area Little Leaguers will be admitted free if they wear their jersey. First pitch is set for 6:00, you can also hear the game on 93.9 The Duck with coverage starting at 5:50 pm.

Lady Cats Shutout by Lincoln County

The Lincoln County Lady Falcons shut out the Tullahoma Lady Cats softball team 13-0 Tuesday in the second meeting of long time district rivals.

The Visitors wasted no time getting on the board as they put up 6 first inning runs. Five more in the third and two in the fourth ended the game early. The Lady Falcons totaled 9 hits in the game to just three for the Lady Cats.  Tullahoma also aided Lincoln County with four fielding errors and seven walks.

The Loss drops the Lady Cats to 1-10 overall and 1-3 in 8-3A play. They are back in action tonight at 6:00 as they host Page in a make up contest from a March 22nd rainout. 93.9 The Duck will be there to bring you the action at 6:00.
