Tullahoma basketball spilt a pair of games at Franklin County on Friday Night.
In the girls game Franklin County scored the first 8 points of a low scoring first quarter leading 8-5 after one. The Lady Cats found their offensive footing in the second quarter to snag a 17-16 lead at the half. Tullahoma dominated the third frame outscoring the Rebeletts 25-7 to seize control of the game and roll to a 57-29 win. Alivia Bowen paced Tullahoma with 13 points.The victory improves the Lady Cats to 3-5 on the season.
In the nightcap the Wildcat offense also started slow trailing 10-6 after the first quarter. Just like the Lady Cats Tullahoma battled back to lead at the half 20-17. The Cats build a five point edge heading to the final frame but in the fourth couldn’t close out the Rebels who battled back to tie the game in the final minute. Then after a Tullahoma turnover with 8 second to play Franklin County took the lead on a KeAndre Johnson free throw and then picked off the final Tullahoma heave to hand the cats a 44-43 defeat.
