Childcare Worker Arrested for Aggravated Child Abuse in Bedford County

A preschool worker has been charged with aggravated child abuse for allegedly striking a 3-year-old girl in the head with a chair at Stay-N-Play Childcare in Wartrace.

According to the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, Cameron Hunter, 22, of Shelbyville was arrested last week by the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office. A video was viewed of the incident by investigators.

Law enforcement was notified by the center’s owner.
