City of Manchester Receives Grant Check for $500,000

Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) officials held a check presentation ceremony on Monday, Nov. 15 at Fred Deadman Park in Manchester. The parks and recreation department received a grant for $500,000 for the City of Manchester to do work at the baseball and softball fields, including new lights. The grant was announced in June.

The grant is part of $7,584,530 awarded to communities throughout the state from the Local Parks and Recreation Fund (LPRF) program and the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) program.
