In cross-county rival game on Tuesday night, Tullahoma upended Coffee County in Manchester, 6-1.
The Wildcats scored on an error, a single by William Zebick, and a sacrifice fly by James Sells in the first inning.
Tullahoma opened up the scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run for Tullahoma.
Brody Melton got the win for Tullahoma. The righthander allowed six hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. Cannon Emory threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jacob Holder took the loss for Coffee County Central Red Raiders. Holder surrendered five runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two.
Braden Brown went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Red Raiders offense and was named the Coffee County Rooster 101.5 Crazy Daisies Player of the Game.
For the Wildcats, Zebick led the hitting attack with three hits in three at bats. He was named the Wildcat player of the game.
Tullahoma improved to 4-2 on the season and are 1-0 in District 8-AAA play. Coffee County suffered its first loss as they stand 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the district.
The Wildcats will host the Raiders on Wednesday night at 6pm. Hear the game only on The Rooster 101.5 FM.
The two schools are also set to face each other in softball on Wednesday in Manchester beginning at 6pm.
