In softball action heard on Rooster 101.5 on Monday night Coffee County opened the season against Warren Co. The Lady Raiders took a strong lead of 5-1 into the 7th before caught fire and cut the lead to one. Pitcher Keri Munn and Coffee County would hold on for the 5-4 win.
Olivia Evans who had 2 hits, scored a run and made an outstanding defensive play by throwing a runner out at home from right field was the Crazy Daises Player of the Game.
In baseball, Coffee County fell behind early and fought an uphill battle all afternoon at Columbia as the Lions picked up the 7-3 win in District 8-AAA play.
The Raiders make their debut on Rooster 101.5 on Tuesday afternoon as LKQ presents Coffee County baseball as they take on Columbia once again. Airtime from Powers Field in Manchester is 3:45 with the first-pitch set for 4pm.
